View looking north at this well–preserved entrance to the temple that was dedicated to the Roman Emperors. It was probably built around AD 200 during the reign of Septimius Severus.
Note the outline on the stones—but the margins have not been carved away—indicating that the temple had not been completed. On the lintel above the door there is a Greek Inscription.
