King's Gate Relief

King

This high relief is the original from the King's Gate at Hattusha.  It is over 7 feet tall.  The god is dressed as a warrior with an axe, sword and helmet.

This object is on display in the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations in Ankara, Türkiye.

The gate was constructed during the period of the Hittite Empire (1360–1180 B.C.).
