Muse with Mask Sculpture

An image of a larger than "life-size" of a marble Muse holding a theatrical mask.  Muses were thought of as inspirational goddesses of poetry, lyric songs, and myths—a fitting piece to be installed in the theater of Aphrodisias.

There were many statues in ancient theaters, both of persons and of deities.
