View of the Atrium of one of the "Terrace Houses." These houses have been under excavation and restoration for a number of years and are very well preserved.
This view is of an "Atrium" of one of the houses. An atrium is a square area - open to the air - that is surrounded on all sides by covered colonnades. In the lower right portion of the image, the mosaic floor of the atrium is visible. On the left side of the image, under the left arch, remnants of a fresco-covered wall are visible.
