View of the small latrine that is located in Terrace House 2. The arched door opening leads to the area of the actual latrine. The slabs on which people sat are missing but examples from public latrines at Philippi, Sardis, and elsewhere are well known. Fresco fragments are visible on the very back wall of the latrine.
Note the colorful frescos on the wall and the pipes—one of which is embedded in the wall, as well as the mosaic floor and the channel (for waste to be carried away?) in the lower left portion of the image.
