Sarcophagus Tomb

View of one of the mounted sarcophagi tombs in the northern necropolis of Hierapolis.  Note the gabled lid (partially broken) and how this sarcophagi is mounted on the “roof” of a lower tomb.

The doorway leads into a burial chamber.
