The low rectangle of stones, in the center of the image is the remains of the chancel area of the Martyrium. The two huge travertine columns are two of the eight columns that supported a "lead–covered wooden dome that once crowned the structure."
On July 27, 2011, the excavator stated that the tomb was discovered in newly discovered church about 120 ft. [40 m] from this Martyrium.
