Hill of Patara

View looking southwest at the “hill of Patara” (= acropolis?).  Note the theater that is built into its hillside.  Just beyond this hill are the beach and the Mediterranean Sea.  Some believe that there was a lighthouse on the top of this hill to guide mariners into the harbor of Patara.
