View of the north wall and northeast corner of the Library of Neron. The back (north) wall, marble with niches, contains a long Greek inscription that mentions several generations of this family. Above the lower marble back wall, where red bricks are visible, there were two superimposed rows of book niches. The niches could be reached by a wooden gallery that was found burnt on the floor.
Note the (large) mosaic floor and the special medallion right of the center of the image—it was in the center of the room.
