Roman Nike

A statue of a “Roman Nike.”  Compare this formal, somewhat static Nike, with flowing movement of those of from the Classical Period in Greece.  See the Nike from Naples and the Nike from Olympia. 

Although from the knee down, the transparent drapery is evident, above the knees, and especially the head and hair, Roman influence is clearly visible.
