Oval Precinct

View looking east from the south theater toward the Oval Precinct—the oval area lined by columns in the center of the image.   The street leading off to the left (north) of the precinct is the cardo of the city.

The buildings on the hill east of the city actually cover the residential area of Gerasa.  It is here that the East Baths are located.
