Two Capernaums

View looking north at the two churches that are built on the antiquity site of Capernaum.

On the right (east) is the Greek Orthodox Church of the Apostles—with the pink domes.  On the left (west) the white back wall of the fifth-century synagogue and the low grey roof of the Franciscan church are visible.  The two churches are about 150 yards apart.
