Farm Tools (2)

From left to right note the seven-pronged winnowing fork. Behind it, and second, from the right, are two plow tips. Actually, the wooden tip of a plow is visible in the extreme upper right portion of the image. The metal tips were placed over the wooden tip and would be inserted into the soil to turn it as the plow moved along. Metal objects such as this, when broken, would have been refabricated so as to be reusable — in addition, they could have been refabricated into other objects (see Isaiah 2:4). Note also the pickaxe, the broom, the spade, a fork, a pickaxe, a plowshare, and an adze.
