Architectural Remains

A display of some of the architectural remains found at "Herod's Tomb" at the Herodium.

On the left note the concave roof and on the right one of the acroteria.  For both of these, compare the style of "Absalom's Tomb" in the Kidron Valley that is slightly earlier in date than Herod's Tomb.
