Changing Room Floor

View of the floor of the changing room (apodyterium) of the Roman Bath.  Note the black and white triangular tiles that have been set into the plaster of the subflooring.  On the right side of the image, the impressions of now-disappeared tiles are visible.

In the upper left, is a bench that reuses column drums.  It was built by the Sicarii during the First Revolt (A.D. 66–74).

Note the remnants of red, green, and yellow frescos on the walls.  The frescos and the flooring date to Herod's day.
