Children's Memorial Covering

Children

View looking at the covering of the “Children’s Memorial” at Yad VaShem.  This memorial is dedicated to the memory of those children who were killed by the Nazis.  The white columns seem to be cut down before they reached their completed destiny—as many Jewish children were cut down before they could grow into adulthood.

The darkened inside of this memorial is lined with mirrors and the flames of a few candles are greatly multiplied.  The names of children killed by the Nazis are read.
