False Start 2

In this image the tunnel turns 90 degrees to the left.  Straight ahead note the large carved indentation in the wall.  Here the tunneling crew realized that they were going in the wrong direction, they “backed off,” and tunneled to the left.

Here the tunnel is about 7 ft. [2.1 m.] high.
