Southwest Corner of Temple Mount 2

A detailed view of the lower portion of the southwestern corner of the Temple Mount.  Just right of the center of the image the east-west street that runs along the southern wall of the Temple Mount is visible. In the lower left, a street leads north along the western wall of the Temple Mount.

Thus, here at the southwestern corner of the Temple Mount, two streets met. The east–west street, visible in this image, and an important north–south street.

When the rubble at the junction of these two streets was being cleared away, an important Hebrew inscription was discovered.

Robinson's Arch is located just above, and to the left of this image.
