Broad House

Broad House

View of an Early Bronze Age "broad house" prior to reconstruction. Just left of center notice the doorway. Usually there was a slight depression on the inner left side of the entrance – on which the door swung (exists here, but not visible in photo). Note to the low bench at the foot of the walls. Personal items were probably stored on the bench. The two stones in the center of the image probably supported a column which in turn supported the flat roof.
