View of the western exterior of the Mausoleum of Augustus taken from within the building where the Ara Pacis is now located.

The whole area around the mausoleum is under construction (redevelopment) and it is difficult to take a picture of the complete exterior.  Just above the black construction barrier, with signs on it, the outer ring, of three, of the mausoleum is visible.

Behind the Cyprus trees the old brickwork of the second ring is visible.
