Frescos

View of a portion of the not–too–well preserved frescos on the west wall of the Macellum.   The fresco is of a simple house design with details in the panels.  In the upper left panel bread is laid out on a table as are (above the bread) fish!  In the center, a person is visible in a doorway.  On the right, the faint image is that of Io who had an affair with Zeus.  This made Io the subject of Hera's wrath (Hera was the wife of Zeus).  On the far right a rider in a chariot and a person in a doorway are visible.
