Head of Sappho

A larger-than-life marble Head of the Poetess Sappho that was found in Smyrna (Izmir).  It is a Roman copy of a type belonging to the Hellenistic Period.

Sappho was a poetess from the island of Lesbos who is famous for her love poetry.  See conveniently Wikipedia.
