North (Istanbul) Gate Outside

A view of the outside (northernmost) passageway, of the three passageway North Gate of Nicea/Iznik.  Today it is called the "Istanbul Gate."

The view is looking south, at the exterior of the outside gate with towers on each side.  The gate has been reinforced with columns from elsewhere.
