Menorah Detail

This is a view of the faint menorah that is located to the left of the door of "Tomb 148B."

Just above the center of the image the seven branches of the menorah are visible and below them the thin single stand.  Below and right of center the faint, tree–like, branches of the "lulav" are visible.  Wilson says that "a shofar (ram's horn)" is also visible, but I have not been able to discern it.

This tomb has two sarcophagi on its roof as well as interior burial spaces.  This tomb, Tomb 148B, is one of the few that has a menorah inscribed on it.  This (faint) menorah is inscribed on the wall just to the left of the lintel of the doorway.  Click here to view the tomb.
