Hadrian Head

A view of a large, well-preserved, head of the Roman Emperor Hadrian (r. A.D. 117–138).  Notice the characteristic beard and hairstyle.  It was found at Sagalassos.

This artifact is now (October 2022) on display in the Museum at the Istanbul Airport.
