This first century A.D. Latin inscription mentions Lystra (spelled as Lustra—Latin form) in line 4. Mark Wilson translates it as:
"The colony of Julia Felix Gemina Lysta consecrated (this statue) of the Deified Augustus. by decree of the decurions."
This inscription is situated in the Archaeological Museum in Konya—biblical Iconium.
The above information and translation are from Dr. Mark Wilson's book Biblical Turkey — A Guide to the Jewish and Christian Sites of Asia Minor, p. 168. This 398-page book is filled with Wilson's descriptions and insights on numerous biblical and extra biblical sites in Turkey.
