Mosaic Floor

Mosaic Floor
View of a large mosaic floor from a villa. Second century A.D. In the center is a head of Dionysus (the god of entertainment/wine; or Medusa?) who has fruit and ivy in his hair. Note the vases in each of the four corners with ivy flowing from them.

Compare the very  similar mosaic found at Pergamum!

Artifact on display in the museum at Corinth.
