Palm Sunday Procession

Palm Sunday Procession

Palm Sunday, the day of Jesus' "Triumphal" Entry to Jerusalem, is commemorated by local (predominantly Christian Arabs) and non–local Christians by processing over the Mount of Olives into the Old City (Lion's Gate) of Jerusalem (Matt 21:1–11; 14–17; Mark 11:1–11; Luke 19:29–44; John 12:12–19).

Many local (Arab Christian) "scout troops" and foreign visitors to Israel participate in this procession.

The following images are from a fairly recent (2007) Palm Sunday Procession.
