View of an artist's reconstruction of the "Early Shrine" looking from the northeast towards the southwest at the entrance.

Note the two plastered and frescoed incense altars(?) and the banistered staircase that leads up to the shrine.  There are four columns on this east (entrance) side of the shrine and it stood on a podium.

Note also the wall that surrounded the sacred area of this shrine (the temenos wall).  To view details of the finds in the red rectangle click here.
