View looking southwest at the flat-top hill known as the "Horns of Hattin" (Qarne Hittin).  At each end there is a rise and thus the name "horns."

In the vicinity of the Horns of Hattin, on July 4, 1187, Saladin decisively defeated the Crusaders.

This may be the site of "Adamah," one of the cities of Naphtali (Josh 19:36) but others identify it as "the Waters of Merom" where Joshua defeated the Canaanite forces led by the king of Hazor (Josh 11:5, 7).
