The green area in the foreground is where the inner harbor of Herodian Caesarea was partially located. Close to where the two people are standing (lower portion of image) is where the altar to Caesar and Roma was located.
The minaret in left (south) of center is from an old mosque from the village of Bosnian refuges that the Ottomans settled here in the late nineteenth century. The village was destroyed in Israel’s war of Independence.
