This larger-than-life statue is of Claudia Antonia Tatiana, a local matron, who was honored by the city of Aphrodisias. The statue was found in the Bouleuterion.
Her hairstyle follows that of the empress Julia Domna (wife of Emperor Septimius Severus; 193–211), and a small Eros stood at her side. The plinth is signed: Alexandros son of Zenon made (this). (from the museum description)
