A view of the large fresco that is on the back wall in the back of the Peristyle Garden of this house. In this fresco two cherubs, the left one riding a dolphin, accompany Venus who is lying in a large shell. Venus is naked and wears a tiara on her head and jewelry around her neck, wrists, and ankles. Venus was the protectress of Pompeii and the erotic sphere.
