View of bottom of a wadi to the northeast of Jerusalem. Note the rugged "cliffs" of hard limestone on both sides and the water flowing in the bottom. The flow is actually away from the viewer. This image is very typical of the bottom of many wadis in the Judean Wilderness—although further to the east they are much deeper!
The picture was taken in early May, after the winter rains.
