View of a “watchtower” in the old tribal territory of Ephraim.
This multistoried “watchtower” is no longer in use, but is a good example of how some of the more elaborate “watchtowers” were constructed of the local limestone.
This image was taken in late April—note the fig tree to the left of the tower that is just beginning to bloom.
