View looking north at the southeastern side of the temple.
The temple was surrounded on all four sides by a cover colonnade (peristyle) of 32 columns (24 of which are now standing). Also note the three steps which led up to the top of the platform on top of which the temple stood.
To the left of center note the smaller columns which stood upon a lintel. These columns in turn supported the roof of the structure.
