View looking southeast at the area east of the Theater of Dionysus where the Odeion of Pericles, constructed 446 B.C., was located. This Odeion is known from literary sources, but not much of it is visible today. Indeed, the stones in the image mark the general area of the Odeion, but were in fact just collected from the area.
