View looking west at the foundation and reconstructed pillars of “Temple E” that is located at the west end of the forum. Evidently the temple was dedicated to Octavia, the sister of the emperor Augustus (27 B.C.—A.D. 14).
The temple, being dedicated to a member of the royal family is an indication of the Imperial Cult—or that of Rome (some say it was dedicated to Jupiter Capitolinus)—here at Corinth.
The columns were of the Corinthian Order.
