View of a portion of the monochrome mosaic that decorated the large central room of the Roman Bath. It is composed of small black and white carved stones (tesserae).
In the upper register note the dolphin and the Tritons (sea gods with the head and torso of a man, but the tail of a fish). In the lower register note the Nereid on the back of a dolphin and the tail of a whale(?).
