View looking southeast at the northern portion of the Bouleuterion (the council chamber). Note the wall that runs from the left down and to the right and that turns into a curve. The right (west) end of the bouleuterion was apsidal in shape and there was a matching apsidal shaped structure to the south of this with an altar in between. Although built in stages, the first portion of it was constructed about 550 B.C.
