View looking down and southeast from the top of Masada. On the left side of the image, the outline of the Roman Camp V is clearly visible, and in the center, that of the large camp VI. On the far right are a reconstructed camp and the cable car station and the Masada Museum.
The blue visible in the top of the image is the Dead Sea—which is 1310 ft. [400 m.] lower than the top surface of Masada.
