View of the entrance to Cave 11. This was the last of the major caves—that contained scrolls—to be found (1956).
Over 21 texts were found in this cave including the Temple Scroll—the longest of the Dead Sea Scrolls at 26.7 ft. [8.2 m.] long. It is rumored that several additional scrolls from this cave are now in private collections.
