Yad VaShem Square is located at the entrance to the Holocaust Memorial on the west side of Jerusalem.
The monument at the entrance reads: "The YadYashem Square Generously Endowed by the Wilf Families, USA". This family is known for its philanthropy, especially for Jewish causes.
I am interested in this because the last two names on the inscription are those of Zygmunt (Zigi) and Mark Wilf, owners of the Minnesota Vikings—my favorite football team. \
Zigi and Mark are the sons of Joseph and Elizabeth Wilf, who were both Holocaust Survivors from Nazi-occupied Poland.
