Yad VaShem Square is located at the entrance to the Holocaust Memorial on the west side of Jerusalem.
The monument at the entrance reads: "The YadYashem Square Generously Endowed by the Wilf Families, USA". This family is known for philanthropy, especially for Jewish causes.
I am interested in this because the last two names on the inscription are those of Zygmunt (Zigi) and Mark Wilf, owners of the Minnesota Vikings—my favorite football team. Zigi and Mark are the sons of Joseph and Elizabeth Wilf, who were both Holocaust Survivors from Nazi-occupied Poland.
