View looking north at the "Roman Bath" of Herod the Great's Third Palace at Jericho.
In the foreground of the plaza are a variety of structures including a second Peristyle Courtyard—where the stubs of columns are visible. The bath itself is behind the longish wall that cuts across the midpoint of the image horizontally.
The area between the columns and the walls was covered, while the large central area was open to the sky.
To the left (west) of the Bath was the "Peristyle Courtyard."
