View from the north looking south at the Zorah Ridge. The hill in the center of the image is close to where Zorah was located.
Samson's father, a Danite, was from Zorah (Judges 13:2). It was in the Zorah area (Judges 13:24) that Samson operated and it was near Zorah that he was buried (Judges 16:31). Today there is actually a cenotaph marking the "traditional" site of his grave there.
This ridge overlooks the Sorek Valley and Beth Shemesh to the south.
