View looking east along the southern side of Kh. Qeiyafa. The three stone pillars, in the center of the image, supported a roof and probably an additional floor. The excavators believe that this small structure served as a stable. This structure is located east of the Southern Gate and is located in "Area C." It dates to the time of King David (ca. 1010–970 BCE).
The green Elah Valley is visible on the upper right side of the image, as are the hills of the Hill Country of Judah on the horizon.
