View looking west at one of the arches of the high level aqueduct at Caesarea Maritima.
The two stages of construction are visible. The portion near the viewer was constructed by Herod the Great (37–4 B.C.) while the portion supported by the column was built during the days of the Roman Emperor Hadrian (A.D. 117–138).
