View looking east at the iconostasis of the “Catholicon.” The iconostas is the wall on which icons are hung. In the center is a red curtain that covers the Royal Door that leads into the altar area where the elements of the Eucharist are blessed.
The icon on the right side of the red curtain is of Christ, as He will come in glory at the second coming. On the left of the curtain is an icon of the Virgin Mary holding Jesus - as he was at His first coming.
This iconostasis was constructed in the late twentieth century.
