View looking south southeast at the church of Saint Peter in Gallicantu. This church was built on the eastern slope of Mount Zion. Beyond the church, to the left (east) are houses from the Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan that is located on the slope of the Mount of Olives. In the distance are the barren hills of the Judean Wilderness and if the image is enlarged the wall that the Israeli's have built will be visible.
In the foreground is a model of Jerusalem during the Byzantine Period—below the orange roof.
